Crossing remote areas, far away from civilization and from the comfort of the modern dwelling lies one of the most well-kept traditions you might expect to see on the African continent; In Southern Ethiopia in the Omo Valley , there is a cultural fest – over 45 languages are spoken, several tribes combine their traditions in an amazing display of color and culture that reminds one of earliest times; with diverse ecosystems including grasslands, volcanic outcrops, and one of the few remaining ‘pristine’ riverine forests in semi-arid Africa which supports a wide variety of wildlife.
The lower Omo valley is quite different from any other region in Ethiopia, and indeed all of Africa. Home to a remarkable mix of small, contrasting ethnic groups: the Bena and Konso, the Gelebe (Dassench), the Bodi and Mursi, the Surma, the Arbore, and Hamer, to name but a few, the tribes of the Omo are all unique, having developed their own cultures while almost completely isolated from the outside world. Traveling in the lower Omo valley is always an adventure and four-wheel drive vehicles are a must. Accommodation and campsites offer few amenities but this adds to the adventure. The remoteness of the region helps make for an unforgettable experience.

• Day 03: Drive Arbaminch to Jinka, admiring the Konso, Derase, Tsemay, Ari and Benna People. Overnight hotel or camping
• Day 04: Drive in to the Mago National Park, to see different mammals and birds on the way and the Mursi people. Overnight hotel or camping
• Day 05: Drive to Turmi, admiring the colorful key Afer market of the Tsemay and Erbore people. Overnight Turmi lodge or camping
