Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the most popular trekking trails in the world.Annapurna Base Camp takes you to the heart of Annapurna I (8,091 m) and Dhaulagiri I (8167m), the tenth and seventh highest mountain in the world respectively. Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m) and Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) are two of the highest points along this trek. The minimum altitude in this route is is 1065 m.

The trek passes through the famous Annapurna Conservation Area and small unique villages along the way such as Chhomrong, Dovan, Bamboo, Kyumi etc. The base camp of Fisthtail and Annapurna offers magnificent views of entire Annapurna ranges. An entire panorama of the Himalayan mountain range including Mount Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I (8091m), Mount Machhepuchhre (6998m), Nilgiri (7041m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna II (7939m), Annapurna III (7555m) and Tukuche (6920m) could be seen along this trail.

The trail of Annapurna will reward you with a stunning combination of towering peaks and dramatic valleys. Rest and relax overnight in tea houses, where you’ll reconnect with ancient ways long forgotten by the modern world and encounter friendly locals.

Annapurna Region falls under Annapurna Conservation Area. It is one of the best managed conservation areas in Nepal. The region is home to some of the most beautiful and endangered flora and fauna species of the Himalayas. There are 440 species of birds and animals recorded in the region. The flowering of orchids and rhododendrons will amuse and enchant any travelers visiting the Annapurna region and so will sightings of rare snow leopard and blood pheasant. In addition to nature, Annapurna also hosts one of the most unique cultures and tradition of Thakali and Gurung ethnic communities.

The best season to for trekking in the Annapurna Base Camp are during Autumn (September to November) and Spring (March to May).
