BHUTAN-NEPAL AT A GLIMPSE: 9/10DAYS
Experience the mysterious destination of Bhutan, the land of the Thunder Dragon. In this tour, you will get to experience a spectacular view of the Himalayan Mountain Range (providing the weather cooperates), a hike to the Taktsang (the “Tiger's Lair”) monastery, the 108 stupas at the top of Dochu-La pass, the beautiful Dzong at Punakha.
DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL

The flight to Paro offers breathtaking view of the mighty Himalayas. On the arrival at Paro International Airport, complete your visa formalities and you will be received by your representative, who will accompany you for the tour of Paro. After lunch, drive to Thimphu.

DAY 2: THIMPHU

We will do some local sightseeing today and visit places of interests like, painting school, memorial chorten. We will also visit the Post Office to see the award-winning stamps of Bhutan. After lunch, we will drive to the mini zoo to see the most endangered national animal of Bhutan Takin. We then visit the Buddhist Nunnery. If the falls on weekends we will Visit Centenary Farmer’s market. In the evening, visit Tashichho Dzong, a beautiful medieval fortress.

DAY 3: DRIVE TO PUNAKHA

After breakfast, we will drive towards Punakha. On the way we will stop by Dochula and get the view of the Himalayas and see the 108 stupa (monument) built by the present Queen Mother. Punakha is the old capital of Bhutan and the winter residence of Monks bodies. Visit Punakha Dzong and local sightseeing.

DAY 4: PUNAKHA – THIMPHU

This morning, we will drive to hike the beautiful and breathtaking Khamsum Yuelley Monastery perched on a hill in Northern side of Punakha valley. This monastery is built by the present Queen Mother. We will also take a short hike to visit Chimi Lhakhang, the Temple of fertility. Before driving to Paro, drive to Thimphu.

DAY 5: DRIVE TO PARO

This morning, visit the Centenary Farmer’s Market, visit Jungshi Handmade paper, and Kuenselphodrang to view one of the tallest Shakyamuni Buddha statue. After lunch, drive to Paro and if time permits drive to Chele la pass. Chele la is one of the highest motorable pass in Bhutan.

DAY 6: PARO TAKTSANG HIKE

Drive to the trail route of Taktsang Monastery from where you will hike to the Monastery for about 2-3 hrs. Lunch will be served at the cafeteria. The cafeteria is a beautiful viewpoint from where the Taktsang Monastery is visible. Hike further to the Monastery. After a tour of the Monastery hike downhill where the vehicle will be waiting to transfer back to the hotel.
DAY 7: FLIGHT TO KATHMANDU

Early morning drive to airport where our guide will bid farewell to your trip back home and hoping that you take a beautiful memory of our country.

Arrive at the airport in Kathmandu. Meet on arrival, transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free to get acquainted with city. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 8: KATHMANDU
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tours to visit the temple of Pashupatinath temple situated on the banks of the sacred Bagmati river, temple of Lord Shiva. Pashupatinath, with a tiered golden roof and silver doors, is famous for its superb architecture and is the holiest of Hindu shrines in Nepal. Visit Baudhanath stupa. This Stupa, set in a pattern of a "Mandala" is encircled by houses and monasteries where Rinpoches (Buddhist monks) reside. After that, visit Swayambhunath stupa, situated west of Kathmandu. It is a 2500 years old Buddhist stupa located at a top of green hillock with the eyes of Buddha painted on its pinnacle overlooking righteous behavior of the valley inhabitants. Onward, visit of old Kathmandu Durbar Square with its stone-paved lanes, colorful bazaars, the Temple of the Living Goddess - Kumari who is considered to be the incarnation of the "Virgin Goddess". The old Durbar Square consists of the old palace and innumerable temples of different architecture. Back to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel, Kathmandu.
DAY 9: KATHMANDU ( Drive to Bhaktaput. 1hr.20min drive)
Post breakfast drive to drive to Bhaktapur city which is the home of traditional art and architecture, historical monuments and craft works, magnificent windows, pottery and weaving industries, excellent temples, beautiful ponds, rich local customs, culture, religion, festivals, musical mystic and so on. Bhaktapur is still an untouched as well as preserved ancient city, which in fact, is itself a world to explore for tourist. Visit includes the Lion Gate, the statue of Bhupatindra Malla, the Palace of 55 windows, the Bell of the barking dogs, the Batsala temple, the Nyatapola temple and the replica of Pashupatinath temple. Afternoon free. Back to the hotel. Overnight at hotel, Kathmandu
DAY 10: Departure

Drop off at airport for your onward flight.
