| Itinerary: | ||||
| Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Sigiriya •Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo). •Transfer: to Sigiriya (4-5 hours) Visit Dambulla Cave Temple ( a complex of five caves with ancient Buddhist murals and statues) and the Golden Temple •Relax after your journey or take a short walk around the hotel area to get a feel of the local environment. •(Optional) Ayurvedic Ancient Traditional Oil Spa. •Overnight Stay in Sigiriya. Day 2: Sigiriya •Early Morning: Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress (start early to avoid heat and crowds). Explore the frescoes, water gardens, and summit views. Return to hotel for breakfast and rest •Visit to a Local Village for a Village Safari with Various activities and lunch. •Return to hotel and Overnight Stay. Day 3: Sigiriya to Kandy via Matale •After Breakfast drive to Kandy (approx. 2.5-3 hours). •Optional visit to a nearby spice garden to learn about Sri Lankan spices and herbs, En route Visit To Matale Hindu Temple •Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the most sacred Buddhist sites •Attend a traditional Kandyan cultural dance and drumming show. •Overnight stay in Kandy. Day 4: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya •After Breakfast Visit Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya (famous for orchids, giant Javan fig tree, and palm avenue). •Proceed to Depart for Nuwara Eliya (approx. 2.5-3 hours). •En Route: Visit a tea plantation and tea factory to learn about tea production and sample fresh Ceylon tea. •Explore Nuwara Eliya town, visit Gregory Lake, stroll through the local market, or visit the colonial-era post office. • Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya. Day 5: Scenic Train Ride and Ella Exploration • After Breakfast Transfer to Ambewala railway station. • Take the scenic train from Nanu Oya to Ella (approx. 3 hours). Enjoy breathtaking views of tea plantations, mountains, waterfalls, and valleys. • Visit Nine Arches Bridge, a famous railway bridge surrounded by lush greenery. • Hike to Little Adam’s Peak for sunset views (easy 1–2-hour hike). • Dinner and overnight stay in Ella. Day 6: Ella to Yala National Park Safari • After Breakfast visit to Ravana Falls or relax in Ella. Proceed to Yala National Park area (approx. 3 hours). • Late Afternoon: Go on a jeep safari in Yala National Park, known for its leopard population, elephants, sloth bears, and diverse birdlife. • Return to Hotel, dinner, and overnight stay. Day 7/8: Yala to Weligama Beach Relaxation • After Breakfast Proceed to Weligama (approx. 3 hours). Explore Mirissa Beach, Coconut Hills. • Relax on the beach, snorkeling, swim, or take surfing lessons (Weligama is famous for beginner-friendly surf waves). • Whales watching, Turtle Hatchery, Galle Dutch Fort. • Enjoy fresh seafood dinner by the beach. • Overnight stay in Weligama.
